About Me

Hello! My name is Thiago André and I am Brazilian. I started studying programming in 2016. I am a creative person and I fell in love with the possibility of developing my own software. Since then I never stopped studying, I took several courses and personal projects and I was enchanted by the Front End Development and Game Development for being close to product design.

I am currently looking for an opportunity as the Front End Developer, where I can create better products than I could on my own.

Mygnar

This was the first project I developed from start to finish. I used the Unity game engine and the C# programming language. During development, I learned to solve problems myself by searching documentation and platforms like Stack Overflow and forums. Also, this project was fundamental for me to start learning English. I worked not only in programming but in several other areas of great importance such as market research, project planning, game design, art, UX/UI, animation, video editing, and copywriting. I went through all the development stages and released the game on the Steam platform.

Even when I was studying game development and creating the Mygnar game, I never stopped studying Front End Development. Since I was a child, I always thought the idea of having a website that other people could access was incredible, and after years of studying Front End Development, I finally decided to take the idea off the paper and start planning it.

I had already made the mistake several times of creating a website without planning, but in this case, it was different. Before I even opened Visual Studio Code and started coding, I created a file in Notion and started listing what my site needed to have. I researched portfolio projects on Behance and accessed several real portfolio websites of programmers and designers for inspiration. Once I had an idea of what I wanted, I opened the Figma website and developed the Layout, which you can access on my Behance. Only after I had created the complete visual part did I start programming.

I chose NextJS as it is a complete ReactJS framework for production. NextJS has the benefits of ReactJS and solves several performance and SEO issues, in addition to offering the option to build a project and host it on a simple server such as GitHub Pages.
